Matt and I make our comments about the different people we see, both intrigued by the drunk woman having an attitude with her man. At one point she’s screaming at him “fuck you, go get me my shots”, not caring who’s around to hear it. That poor man eventually gave in and kept getting the shot she demanded.

Once he finally told her no and got up to go to the bathroom, she sat there debating something quietly in her mind. When she finally stumbled to stand and drunkenly walked out the door. Her man came out of the bathroom with no surprise on his face when she was not at the table. He walked out, hopefully to find her and take her to bed.

Mean while, another couple joins us, sitting right in front of us, one table in front of the other couple that left. This woman seemed simple, no makeup, and no fucks given. She too very drunk and her man very much not drunk. She seems to be in better spirits than the last, while dancing to every song like shes having a hippie moment without rhythm.

Then a “power couple” walks in, woman obsessed with her looks and wanting all the attention from around her. Be careful what you wish for ladies, the woman with bleach blonde hair and an attitude to match the toxins. The man seemed like someone Matt and I would get along with. He starts throwing fifty dollar bills at the pianist and requesting songs, then announces that they just got engaged on NYE. That announcement sparked something in the simple drunk woman that she went and bought two sparkling wines for the newly engaged couple.

Once the waitress with the glasses set them down, simple drunk woman walked over to get the acknowledgment she wanted for the gesture. Even though we can’t hear what shes saying, the swaying and leaning on the their table was enough.  Once she walks back to her table, blondie stops her fiancée from drinking the sparkling wine so she can take pics.

Recently, picture perfect moments are just not as important as the moment itself for me. I personally could care less about the sparkling wine, I would just enjoy the moment that strangers took an interest in our announcement. Not blondie, she wanted social media worthy pics only.

That was until the simple woman made blondie her new best friend.
