My time

It’s all about me for once!

Yesterday, today nor tomorrow are promised for anyone, make the best of TIME you are given! That’s just what I did this weekend with Matt for my birthday. Saturday was even more perfect than the night before. We took the boat ride through the Riverwalk learning about all sorts of fun facts. The most I got out of the ride was the view, the trees, beautiful structures, buildings with details you might not have noticed otherwise.

I couldn’t help but notice the family of four on the ride with us, a worried anxious mother,  easy going dad, and two young kids wanting to do everything at once. Made me smile watching the family, the parents side eye of disagreements, the kids doing their best to get on moms nerves. Made me smile remembering all fun times I had with all the kids in my lifetime. I love kids, the innocence, the joy of nothing, the laughing at silly things, the imagination they each create for themselves.

After the boat ride we decided to tour the Alamo, something I probably learned in school but don’t remember it at all. It was nice watching Matt take in all the information and his curiosity running through his mind. Matt doesn’t just read the materials, its almost like he tries to put himself in that same situation. It’s like he feels the story, understands the meaning behind it all. I’m not a history buff, but watching him walk through and take it all in was enough for me.

We then decided to go up to the streets and find the Coyote Ugly I saw on the drive in. I always wanted to visit a real Coyote Ugly, just like the movie! Yes, I have some girly tendencies, I am a girl….with a man-mentality. We walk in and the first thing I noticed was the energy the bartender had. She was definitely entertainment for the entire bar.
